Dorothy Moskowitz was born December 23, 1941 to Leo Moskowitz and Sonia nee Schneider in Brooklyn. She attended Lincoln high school and later Kingsborough College. She worked as an administrative professional lastly at IHS. She had 3 children Anne Velardi, David Galloway, and the late Cara Galloway. Her beloved honorary daughter is Edna Mae Harris. She had 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Justin, and Andrew Karaffa and one great granddaughter, Mikkie Heaton. She is also survived by her sister Miriam Woods, and her brother Alan Moskowitz, as well as her 3 nieces Donna Somma-Seiler, Jacqueline Katz and Diane Woods, and a host of family and friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her care and concern for all.
May her soul be bound in the bonds of eternal life.
