Michael Lee 1945 - 2025

Michael Alan Lee
January 7, 1945 – October 3, 2025
Michael Alan Lee passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025. He was 80 years old.
Born in the Bronx to Philip and Pauline Lee, Michael graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and went on to build a career that included working at NY Central Railroad, Trans Freight Lines, and Merrill Lynch. In 1966, he married Sherry and later moved to Yonkers where they went on to have and raise two daughters, Noele and Wendy.
Michael had a deep love for animals, especially his loyal dogs, Mittens, Melody, Casey, and Jessie. He was rarely without a dog treat in his pocket and was quick to befriend any four-legged visitor who crossed his path. He loved feeding the squirrels and even found himself taking care of neighborhood cats. A lifelong student of history, he had a passion for classic television and old movies, and could always be counted on to share a fascinating bit of trivia. He loved The Odd Couple and The Honeymooners and could perfectly quote every episode. Michael had the gift of humor, and one of his favorite things to do was to make people laugh, which he did well and often.
He is survived by his wife Sherry, daughters Noele and Wendy, and his brother Bill.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday October 8th at noon, Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 1652 Central Park Ave, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Cancer Foundation at acfoundation.org.

Some people leave footprints on your heart; Michael’s footprints are all over mine. He was such a kind spirit and fun to work with. I always said God put me in certain places to meet the most remarkable people and Michael and Sherry are 2 beautiful souls that I’m forever grateful to have the pleasure of working with. Praying that the beautiful, cherished memories bring peace and comfort to Sherry, Noele and Wendy as well as all the people whose lives he touched. forever in my heart.
    Fondly,

I was so sad to hear this heartbreaking news. Michael was such a warm, engaging man. Whether it was telling an old family story or a joke, Michael never ceased to entertain. He will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences to Sherry, Noele and Wendy, and to Bill.
