May Betty Alexander (BETTY), 85, passed away on May 25, 2026. Born in New York City in 1940, Betty attended Walton High School in the Bronx. She met her husband, a lifeguard at Orchard Beach in 1955. The couple married in 1961 and moved to Yonkers in 1967, where Betty was a much loved and active member of the community, a PTA member at PS 32, active in local politics. Most importantly she was a valued friend and neighbor. Betty worked for Loral Electronic Systems, Lockheed Martin, and others. After retiring as a Contract Administrator, she worked for Section 8 housing for 10 years before retiring in 2013.
In 2021, she moved to The Knolls where she lived, socialized, and was an active member of the community. She was known as a woman with a warm heart, a great sense of humor, and the ability to not take life too seriously. She remained for her life an avid Mets Fan and dog lover.
Betty is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Lisa Alexander & Pat Mulcahy and Andrea Alexander & Peter Roehrich. She was genuinely liked by everyone and brought smiles to her friends and family. She will be missed by all.
