Arthur Jakubowitz, of Ardsley, NY sadly passed away on October 29, 2021 at the age of 72. Arthur was born in Israel to the late Michael and Leah Jakubowitz. From an early age, Arthur’s selflessness and sacrifice was evident. He continued this genuine care for people throughout his career as Principal for the Birchwood School, which is a K-12 school for those with special needs, in the Clarkstown School District. After retiring from his position as Principal, Arthur then went on to become an Assistant Superintendent at the E. Ramapo School District. His service to education and his role as a pillar to the community is reflected in the many notes the family has received since his passing. In addition, Arthur was an avid runner, loved gardening and sharing his tomatoes with the neighbors, was a devout NY Mets fan and most importantly he was the core of his family.
Arthur is survived by his beloved wife Ellen, cherished children Stacey (Eyal) Alper, Marcy and Matthew (fiancé Joanna Zapata), 7 adoring grandchildren and his loving brother Arnold.

I met him the same day I met Bill up at Grossingers when they went hotel hopping. I have so many great memories of him. He was an extraordinary person, husband and Dad. Kids he loved you so much and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you. I haven”t seen him in 8 years but my love for him and your family will always be there.
