Obituary of Conrad Waldinger

Conrad Waldinger, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, passed away on December 30, 2015 at the age of 82. Conrad was born January 22, 1933 to the late Siegfreid and Elaine (Schwed) Waldinger. Connie graduated from City College and was active in the ROTC and went onto serve in the Army Reserves. His passion and his career was in architectural photography. Connie is survived by his loving partner Sondra Vos, his cherished children David and Elyse Waldinger, his adoring sister Leomi Simkin and devoted grandchildren Rebecca and Leslie and a great grandson Ari. Conrad was predeceased by his beloved wife Lillian. Funeral services were held on January 3, 2016 at Weinstein Memorial Chapel in Yonkers, followed by an interment at Cedar Park Cemetery in New Jersey. Memorial donations in Connie’s memory may be made to The Alumni Association of City College, P.O. Box 177, New York, NY 10027.

    Colonel. This is from the 14 year old that worked across the street at Hongs Parkway back in the 1980's, Yes the one who visited your shop regularly, and learned a great many things from you, Manny, Charlie, and Gilbert. I think other than my Father. You four gents helped mold me into the officer and gentlemen that I have become. I just visited The Bronx, and learned of your passing. You are, and will always be missed.

    My condolences. I was with him as a photographer in the 77th signal company 1946-1960. Has anyone heard anything fom Evald Hamburg or Martin Wernick aka Thaddeus Mansfield?
