Dr. Nora Varsano-Aharon 1932 - 2019

Dr. Nora Varsano-Aharon passed away early on May 16th 2019. She is survived by her husband Albert (Bobby) Aharon, her sons Alon and Gill, her daughters-in-law Kim and Caroline, her four grandchildren Claire, Beatrice, Arthur and Jake and many beloved friends and relatives. Nora was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1932 and immigrated to the United States in 1964 after living in Israel for many years. She and Bobby were longtime residents of Scarsdale. After starting her career in research at the VA, Dr. Varsano-Aharon later worked at Long Island Jewish and finally in private practice in White Plains. Nora will be remembered as an excellent cook who loved to share her home with relatives and friends. Nora’s greatest love was her family and in recent years nothing brought her more joy than spending time with Bobby, her two sons and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 20th at 9:30am at Ferncliff Cemetery.
