Irwin Feldinger, a longtime resident of Scarsdale (Edgemont) New York died at his home on March 20th 2024 at the age of 86 of pancreatic cancer. At the time of his death, he was being cared for by his wife Phyllis of 62 years.
Irwin was a Bronx native, born February 22, 1938. He was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School and Hunter College. In 1968 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in Clinical Psychology.
Licensed in New York State, Irwin worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Albert Einstein Hospital and Bronx State Hospital. He served as Chief Psychologist for 32 years at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre NY and was on the Adjunct Medical Staff at Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY from 1975-1989. His private practice was in Bayside, NY where he retired in 2020 at the age of 82.
Dr. Feldinger was a loving husband to his wife Phyllis, loving father to his two adult daughters, Kim Feldinger Geller and Elizabeth Fiore, and a loving grandfather to Marisa Geller and Derek and Alex Fiore.
A private funeral was held on March 22, 2024.
