He was well respected and admired by all who knew him and had a long career as a School Administrator in the New York City Public School System (P.S. #246x). He also served as a teacher in PS #77x, and in several administrative positions with the NYC Central Board of Education. Once retired. he was an Administrator at the Biondi School at Leake & Watts Services and an Adjunct Professor at Monmouth University. An amateur radio enthusiast, he set up a radio program in his schools and was actively involved with the hobby until his death. He held a BA and MA in Teaching from Monmouth University, a MA in Educational Administration from New York University and an ABD from Concordia University.
Jeff had many health challenges but never lost his zest for life. Despite many health set backs, he maintained a joie d vivre positive attitude and cherished every day. His resilience and acceptance of limitations put upon him due to his health situation was a testament to his character. He taught us how to live, and sadly die. Jeff was always available in time of need to his family, friends, students and was dedicated to leaving this world a better place. Jeff leaves behind a rich legacy of caring and philanthropy. His widow takes comfort in knowing that he lived a rich life filled with loving family and friends, extensive travel, volunteer endeavors, no regrets and got to do most of the activities on his bucket list. When asked what his greatest accomplishment in life was, he remarked, “marrying Devra”. He is sorely missed. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing for all of us.
