Leatrice Frances Cohen passed away on Thursday, April 22nd peacefully at home.  She was the daughter of Hazel and Philip Lambek and the niece of Ethel and George Bender, all of the Bronx, NY.  She met Alvin Cohen at a Dude Ranch on New Year’s Eve.  They soon married.  They had a daughter and a son, Mona and Howard.  Leatrice was totally dedicated to her family.  She was “leaning in at the table” long before it became a trend.  Her first tables were the kitchen, homework and picnic tables, where raising her young children was her priority.  After Mona and Howard were older, she worked at Revlon for over 2o years, where she eventually became a highly trusted executive assistant.  Although they always worked hard, weekends with Leatrice, Alvin and the kids meant going to zoos, museums, and historic sites.  Leatrice and Alvin loved to vacation in Canada, where Alvin’s fluent French always came in handy. Leatrice lost the love of her life, Alvin in 1993.  Although they always did everything together, Leatrice kept active as a member of her local synagogue, with its many events and she made good friends.  She is survived by her daughter Mona and her son Howard, son-in-law Larry, daughter-in-law Anne and grandchildren Susanna, Austin and Dorrian.  Ceremony will be private.
