Ruth I. Kissel, a longtime resident of Yonkers, passed away on February 24, 2020 at the age of 87. Ruth was born on September 22, 1932 in the Bronx, NY to the late Joseph and Dorothy Sperber.  Early in her career, Ruth worked as a secretary, put that on hold to raise her children, and then went back to work until retiring at the age of 52.  Ruth is survived by her cherished children Jeff (Beverly) Kissel, Gwen (Steve) Jagde and Ken (Lisa) Kissel, her loving brother Donald (Karen) Sperber, adoring grandchildren Stephanie (Richard) Leiter, Andrea (Noah) Gold, Bryan (Jennifer) Kissel, Jessica and Michael Jagde, Demetri, Alison and Seth Kissel. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jacob, Ben and Madison.  Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Samuel and granddaughter Laura Jagde.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation or the American Heart Association.
