1939-2020. Died, July 20, 2020. Stephan Zane Herstein was born on May 5, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Steve’s life was rich as the co-founder, with his wife Wendy, and owner of their window treatment fabrication company, The Right Track. His zest for life and enthusiasm was nurtured by his love of adventure and bottomless capacity to meet and connect with new people everywhere he went. A smile, easy laugh, and selfless generosity were his most accessible and trusted tools to make everyone he encountered feel like a life-long friend. His indomitable spirit was cemented when he took his first solo trip on the New York subway at the age of 3.

Steve was married to his partner, confidant and wife, Wendy for over 40 years before her passing. He was a loving father to Joseph and is survived by Allison (Eric), Jonathan (Katie), Victoria (Anthony), and James (Lori) as well as his 7 grandchildren Jacob, Zoe, Zachary, Jared, Laila, Maxwell and Samuel. He is also survived by his brothers Cal, Frank, Arthur and Harold.

Charitable donations in his name can be made to The United States Holocaust Museum, The Lung Cancer Research Foundation, or The Organization for Autism Research.
