Yetta Pressman 1923 - 2023

Yetta Pressman, a resident of Yonkers, NY passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 99. Yetta was born October 18, 1923, in New York City to the late Benjamin and Rose (Shamus) Pressman. After graduating High School, Yetta went on to work for a few companies but made her career working on the 67th floor of the World Trade Center as an Executive Secretary for the Drug Abuse Control Commission. Although she never married, her devotion to her family was second to none. Yetta is survived by her loving brother David Pressman, cherished nieces and nephews Randie (who was more of a daughter than a niece), Lyle, Jeff and Adam Thalrose, Steve, Louis, Robby, Mark, Ruthanne, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her brothers Nathan, Joe, Jack, and Leon as well as nephews Marvin, Mark, Robby, and a niece Beverly Thalrose. Yetta will be fondly remembered for her incredible cooking skills, (especially the ability to cook for an army on short notice) and dedication to her family, where her name will live on, as her nephew Jeff Thalrose, through his company, “MeatBoneZ Barbecue Inc., has recreated Aunt Yetta’s famous chicken recipe called, “Aunt Yetta’s Original Seasoning” for everyone to enjoy. She will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
