Jerome Ecker 1921 - 2022

Jerome Ecker – January 1920 – December 16, 2022
Jerome Ecker, Jerry to his friends and family, left this world peacefully on December 16, 2022. We celebrate his life for he was blessed with many years of health and happiness surrounded by the love and admiration of his wife Florence, sons Robert and Paul, daughters-in-law Tammi and Karen, grandchildren Keri (Rich), Danny (Brooke) and Jason, and great-grandchildren Cameron and Anderson.
Jerry was a kind person, whose conversations started with “how are you?” He was a man of honor who truly loved people.
Jerry grew up and lived most of his life in Yonkers, New York. He met Florence at age 12, they eloped some years later and the two enjoyed 80 years of marriage. Jerry served his country during WWII.
Jerry was the youngest of 10 children. He with his brothers Sidney and Jake formed Ecker Bros. Inc, which still exists today in Mt. Vernon. Jerry was a successful businessman, quick to laugh and was a great teller of jokes.
For Jerry, spending time with his family was everything. He was the #1 fan. While his smile, and his laugh will be ever so missed, we were blessed to share the many years he was given.
